【略歴】
終生、兵庫県の姫路市に生きて、多くの風景画、花を描きました。
そして、連作に新日本製鉄の製鉄所の鉄をつくる息吹を描いた”鉄をつくる”シリーズがあります。

・1906年〈明治39年）兵庫県姫路市生まれ。姫路中学を経て東京美術学校入学。在学中に二科展、
1930年協会展、国際美術協会展にそれぞれ入選、以後出品をつづけ、国際美術協会賞を受賞。
・1931年〈昭和6年〉東京美術学校西洋画科（現東京芸大）卒業。
・1940年（昭和15年）国画会初入選。中国へ取材旅行。
・1952年（昭和27年）国画会々員推挙。
・1964年（昭和39年）中井三成堂画廊（姫路）、札幌HBC画廊、北海道銀行ロビーにて個展開催。
・1966年（昭和41年）白城会館大理石モザイク壁画完成。中林画廊（東京・銀座）にて個展開催。
・1967年（昭和42年）欧州へ取材旅行。中林画廊にて個展開催。
　「半どんの会」（兵庫県文化団体）現代美術部門美術賞受賞。山陽百貨店にて自選展開催。
・1968年（昭和43年）東アフリカヘ取材旅行。中林画廊にて個展開催。
・1969年（昭和44年）中井三成堂画廊、姫路やまとやしき画廊、中林画廊にて個展開催。姫路文化賞受賞。
・1970年（昭和45年）同上三会場にて個展開催。「アフリカスケッチ・尾田龍」を出版。
・1971年〈昭和46年〉神戸KCCギャラリー、中林画廊にて個展開催。
・1972年〈昭和47年〉姫路文化センター大劇場緞帳制作。中林画廊にて個展開催.
・1973年（昭和48年）大阪日動画廊、画廊レンガ舎（姫路）、やまとやしき百貨店にて個展開催。
・1974年（昭和49年）画廊レンガ舎にて個展開催。
・1975年（昭和50年〉リトグラフ集「瀬戸内の四季」を刊行。大阪日動画廊にて個展開催。兵庫県文化賞受賞。
・1976年（昭和51年）欧州へ取材旅行。画廊レンガ舎にて個展開催。
・1977年（昭和52年）大阪日動画廊にて滞欧作品展開催。
・1978年（昭和53年）大阪日動画廊にて水彩画展、画廊レンガ舎にて個展開催。
・1979年（昭和54年）大阪日動画廊にて画業50年記念展、やまとやしき百貨店にて水彩画展、
　レンガ舎ハシモト画廊にて芸術文化大賞受賞記念展開催。姫路市芸術文化大賞受賞。
・1980年（昭和55年）レンガ舎ハシモト画廊にて個展開催。
・1981年（昭和56年）大阪日動画廊にて個展開催。
・1982年（昭和57年）「尾田龍画集1982」車木工房より刊行。
・1983年（昭和58年）大阪日動画廊にて喜寿と画集刊行記念の個展開催。
・1992年（平成2年）死去、享年85。
・2002年（平成14年）姫路市立美術館で「没後10年尾田龍展」、
　森画廊（姫路市）にて「没後10年尾田龍小品展」開催。
