広瀬淡窓家が所蔵していたものになります。広瀬家が竹富清嘯に頼んで描いたもので森愚山が後に題をしたようです。作品は明治丁亥(20年)1887年、清嘯が55歳に描いたもののようです。

作家情報
1833－1899　幕末-明治時代の日本画家。天保(てんぽう)4年生まれ。書画を肥後熊本で修業して上海にわたる。帰国後文人画家として,京阪地方を遊歴した。明治32年12月7日死去。67歳。肥後出身。名は祥。字(あざな)は子謙。通称は利平,理三。別号に嘯山。
