    世界的芸術家、葛飾北斎の『あやめにきりぎりす』です。龍香堂と親交の有る版画研究室から買い取りました。北斎の描いた富士の自然な美を、手摺木版で忠実に復刻した作品です。

    ※画像３、上は裏面の画像、下は使用した版木です。版画用染料が裏写りしているのは、印刷ではないことの証しです。

    【作品解説】あやめにきりぎりす（Iris and katydid）
    藍色のバックに上品な紫・逆に止まったきりぎりす・・・。繊細な筆致と巧みな構図に北斎の生気と力強さが見られます。北斎の花鳥画は浮世絵としては富嶽三十六景に比べそれほど有名ではありませんが、写実的な描写・繊細な線と簡潔な構図・下から上へ藍色のぼかしの鮮やかさに西洋絵画の影響が感じられます。花鳥画では人気の有る作品です。
