    旧家のお宅からです。本紙に裏面にシミ汚れ等が見られます。

    正宗　得三郎1883～1962
    岡山県和気郡伊里村に生まれる。文学者正宗白鳥は長兄、国文学者正宗敦夫は次兄。
    明治（1902）年に上京し、寺崎広業の天籟画塾に通って日本画を学んだが、
    洋画を志して東京美術学校西洋画科に入学。
    同40（1907）年に同校を卒業。在学中は青木繁、坂本繁二郎、熊谷守一らと交友した。
    同42（1909）年、第3回文展に初入選。
    大正3（1914）年、フランスに渡り、アンリ・マティスと知り合う。
    同10（1921）年に再渡仏。戦前は二科会の重鎮として活躍し、
    戦後は二紀会結成に参加し、以後、同会を中心に活動する。
    晩年は富岡鉄斎に傾倒し、その研究に打ち込むとともに、日本画も巧みであった。
