    世界的芸術家、葛飾北斎。その『富嶽三十六景』中の『甲州石班沢』です。龍香堂と親交の有る版画研究室から買い取りました。北斎の描いた富士の自然な美を、手摺木版で忠実に復刻した作品です。

    ※画像３は裏面です。版画用染料が裏写りしていますので印刷ではないことを御確認できます。

    ◎「富嶽三十六景」四十六枚は、古来日本人のすべてに愛され親しまれてきた富士山を中心に、自然界の風景を幾何学的要素に還元して見る手法を縦横に駆使し、清新な色調で組絵の面白さを求めた傑作で、北斎五十年間の画業は、まさに此処に凝縮されていたと言えます。

    【作品解説】甲州石班沢（View from Kajikazawa in Kai Province）
    この図を見ると一幅の漢画を見る思いがする。激流の中につき出た巨巌の上で父子の漁師が綱を打っている。 その構図、その人物の配置、描写にはまことに北斎ならではの緊張感と構図美がある。中景の流れから富士のきびしい姿へのもり上りも、前景と調和がとれている。漁師の綱の4本の紐が画面に生気を与えている。石班沢は鰍沢あたりの急流であろう。46枚中の佳作の一つである。
