    昭和-平成時代の洋画家。
    大正6年4月13日生まれ。
    昭和14年より二科展に出品,25年二科会会員。
    「愛」で青児賞,「トワリ」で総理大臣賞などを受賞。
    サロン-ドートンヌ会員。
    30年代以降はマドモアゼル,50年代から舞妓のシリーズを制作,女性美を追求した。
    平成2年芸術院賞。
    6年芸術院会員。平成19年10月27日死去。
    90歳。茨城県出身。日本美術学校卒。
