    伊東深水（いとうしんすい）
    1898 東京都深川生まれ
    1908 年方門下の中山秋湖に日本画の手ほどきを受ける
    1912 第12回巽画会展に「のどか」が初入選
    1914 再興第1回日本美術院展に「桟敷の女」が入選
    1915 第9回文展に「十六の女」が初入選
    1916 東京日日新聞・時事新報・国民新聞などに挿絵を描く
    1922 平和記念東京博覧会で「指」が2等銀牌
    1927 大井町に深水画塾設立
    1929 第10回帝展で「秋晴」が特選、翌年永久無鑑査となる
    1930 大森区池上本町に画塾を移し、〓峯画塾と改める
    1932 青々会設立
    1939 山川秀峰と門下を糾合し青衿会を結成
    1947 第3回日展に「鏡」を出品。翌年、戦後復活第1号として日本芸術院賞受賞
    1950 青衿会解散／新たに白鳥映雪、児玉希望、奥田元宋、佐藤太清らと日月社を結成
    1958 日本芸術院会員推挙
    1972 逝去

    ＜特徴＞
    日本画独特の柔らかな表現による美人画が有名。人気のあまり、戦後には多くの作品が複製版画として頒布されるようになった。
