    ＊生前 作品を売ることなく 求道者のごとく画道に邁進し、日本のルオー と評された 安藤義茂 の水墨?水彩?作品 『薔薇』 です。 
       作品は薄い紙に描かれ、台紙に貼られています。 作品左下に 「Ando義茂」 と直筆のサインがあり、1951と記載されています。  
       安藤義茂63歳の肉筆一点もの 額装品 【真作保証】 です。 万が一「真作」でなかった際には返品をお受け致します。

    ・制作年：1951年
    ・コンディション：73年前の作品ですが、概ね良好です。
       作品下部の両サイドに1cm程度の破れがあります。また、2箇所に(5ｍｍと３ｍｍ)の丸い黄ばみ(しみ？)が見られます。
       額も古いもののようで、擦り傷がありますが、いやな感じはなくこのまま飾って楽しんでいただけると思います。

    安藤 義茂 （あんどう よししげ） 1888 1967年
    生前、作品を売ることなく求道者のごとく画道に邁進。画材の不足した時代に水彩を以って油絵のような風合いを得る「刀画」という技法を考案し多くの作品を残しました。
    ルオーはキャンバスに絵の具を塗り重ねて深みを出しましたが、安藤は紙に墨や水彩で描き小刀で削りながら深みを出しました。
    ＜略歴＞
    1888年  愛媛県旧北条市（現松山市）生まれ
    1908年 東京美術学校西洋学科入学（現、東京芸術大学）
    1911年 同校卒業 徳島県立徳島中学校勤務（教え子に画家 井原宇三郎がいる）
    1927年 画業に専念のため中学校を辞職
    朝鮮釜山に渡る。
    第8回帝国美術院展覧会 初入選
    1937年 第1回文部省美術展覧会 入選
    1940年 関西居住の文展系作家、太田喜二郎、赤松麟作、新井完、坪井一男、野平上らと
    華畝会を組織
    1943年 このころ、水彩をもって油彩画の効果を得ることを目的として、刀画の技法を
    独自に工夫する。以後、この技法を用い盛んに制作を行う。
    1950年 朝日新聞社主催第1回秀作美術展「少女」（刀画）が選抜展示される。
    第4回第二紀会に作品10点を出品し、グランプリ受賞。第二紀会同人となる。
    1967年 京都市にて逝去。享年79才。
