    石井柏亭 イシイハクテイ Hakutei Ishii
    1882‐1958年
    東京生まれ。日本画家石井鼎湖の長男、彫刻家鶴三の兄。
    幼時より父に日本画を学び，のち浅井忠に洋画を学ぶ。
    1901年 日本画の无声会に参加
    1902年 洋画の太平洋画会に参加
    1904年 東京美術学校西洋画科に入学し、黒田清輝，藤島武二に師事したが眼を病み翌年退学。
    1907年  東京府勧業博覧会に出品。森田恒友、山本鼎と芸文『方寸』を創刊
    1910年 滞欧（～’12年）
    1913年 日本水彩画会を創立。第7回文展２等賞
    1914年 山下新太郎、有島生馬らと二科会を創立。中軸としてその発展に尽力。
    1935年 二科会を脱退して一水会を設立。。
    帝国美術院会員，日本芸術院会員，日展理事と審査員をつとめた。
