    ▲商品説明▲外寸（約）：320×445ｍｍ　絵サイズ：255×370ｍｍ　技法（種別）：木版画　紙質：和紙　

    独特の画風が人気の浮世絵師、月岡芳年。その連作「月百姿」の『盆の月』です。龍香堂と親交の有る版画研究室から買い取りました。芳年の得意とする構図の妙を手摺木版で忠実に復刻した作品です。

    ◎当品は和紙１枚の状態です。額飾しておりません。

    ●月岡 芳年（つきおか よしとし）：幕末から明治前期にかけての浮世絵師。12歳で歌川国芳に入門。その画業は幅広く、歴史絵・美人画・風俗画・古典画・合戦絵など多種多様な浮世絵を手がけ、各分野で独特の画風がある。構図や技法の点で工夫が見られ、動きの瞬間をストップモーションのように止めて見せる技法は現代のマンガや劇画に通じるものがあり、劇画の先駆者との評もある。

    【作品解説】月百姿（つきひゃくし）：1885～1892年の7年間の歳月をかけて発表した大判錦絵。月岡芳年は自分の名から月に対する思い入れが深く、晩年の傑作として『月百姿』という月にちなんだ説話、能、歌舞伎を題材にした百枚に及ぶ連作を描いている。
    この『盆の月』は、本来は大きな輪で円舞する盆踊りであるが芳年はあえて一部の人物を切り取り、縦のトリミングで躍動感ある動きを生み出した。満月の下、一時の盆踊りに興じる市井の人々の表情はこの上なく楽しそうである。凄惨な風俗作品などを多数描いた芳年であるが、この様な庶民的で微笑ましい光景も残している事に、人間味溢れる一面を感じ取れる
