こちらは雪・秀一さんのハンドメイド作品です。

 

作家さんコメント

お家にほっこりと小さなお地蔵さんが見守ってくれますよ。

 

素材は土粘土で、素焼きし彩色しています。

お花の中にぽんと姿を現した小さなお地蔵さま。

 

地蔵というお名前は、まるで大地が命をはぐくむように、その大地のような大きな慈悲の心で衆生を救うということをあらわしているんだそうですね。こちらのお地蔵さまも、手のひらにのるくらいのかわいらしいお姿をされていますが、とってもやさしい笑顔でこちらを見守ってくれています。

 

曇りのない澄んだ笑顔で、なんだか見つめていると心の中が洗われていくみたいです♪

 

この作家さんはご夫婦で博多人形の工房をされていて、普段はすばらしい博多人形をつくられています。伝統的な作品をつくる傍ら、この作品のように独自の作品もつくりだされているんですけど、博多人形づくりで培われた確かな技術や感性で生み出される作品は、やはり目を惹きつける魅力と存在感を放っています。

 

こちらのお地蔵さまは高さ約4.5cm。ちょこんとした存在感は飾る場所を選ばないと思います。

 

※素焼き人形ですので、お手入れの際はぬれた布などでは拭かないようにしてください。ほこりは刷毛などで軽く撫でるようにはらっていただくといいと思います。取り扱いの際、素手ではなく布や紙などをあてて触るようにすると綺麗さが守られます。
