    ■タンカとは
    タンカとはチベット仏教の教えを目に見える形にすることでその教えを理解しやすくすることを助けるもの、そしてチベット僧の重要な行いの一つの「瞑想」の手助けをするものです。

    タンカの図柄には色々なものがありますが、代表的なものにはチベットの高僧であるミラレパを描いたものや、千手観音などの神様を描いたもの、そしてヤントラやマンダラと呼ばれる図形を描いたものがあります。私たち日本人にとってはマンダラなどの図形を書いたものが人気ですが、本場ネパールやチベットでは神様を描いたものが人気なようです。

    こちらの商品はネパールの工房で人の手で描かれたタンカです。このタンカは当店のブログでも紹介している亡命チベット人の工房からやってきています。

    たてxよこ 約46cm x 61.5cm
    ※こちらに表示した大きさは、キャンバスの端から端までをはかったものです。絵師の方が切ったキャンバスですので、真四角ではありません。
    素材岩絵の具、白土と膠を混ぜたものを布に塗ったもの
    備考 タンカ作成の過程で裏面に軽く絵の具がついていることがございます、手作りゆえの特性になりますのでご了承ください。また、実際に現地のギャラリーや寺院で掲示されていたものは端っこの部分の折れなど、経年を感じさせるものもございます。そのようなお品は特別な一品としてより大切にしていただければ嬉しく思います。
