    ＜上村淳之 ウエムラアツシ Atsushi Uemura＞
    1933年 京都に生まれる。本名は淳。父・松篁、祖母・松園とも日本画家。
    1953年 京都市立美術大学日本画科入学
    1968年 新制作協会展に出品、初入選する
    1984年 京都市立芸術大学教授に、1994年松伯美術館開館、館長となる。
    1995年 日本芸術院賞を受賞
    2002年 日本芸術院会員
    2013年     文化功労者となる
    現代日本画壇の花鳥画の第一人者。    脈々と流れる上村家の美の系譜を受け継ぎ、
    自らの手で千羽を超える鳥の飼育・観察を続ける中から昇華された、鳥の美しく清らかな世界を描く。
