    商品説明
    作品解説(こいそりょうへい)1903年兵庫県神戸市出身。88年85歳没。昭和初期に活躍した洋画家。人物画を多く手掛け、特に多数の人物画描かれる群像画に評価されてきた。東京藝術大学の教授を務め、迎賓館(赤坂)にて傑作と言える超大作を制作している。小磯の描く肖像画は、緻密でありながら柔らかく奥深い表現をしており、長年における制作技術へ研鑽によって描かれる作品は、小磯の世界を描いているとも言えるだろう。本作品は、小磯の作品でも希少なアクアチントを使った作品。習作として制作されたと思われ、発行部数は20部と大変少ない部数となっており、小磯らしい丁寧な仕事で貴婦人を描きだしている良作に仕上がっている。文化勲章受賞。
