    2014年初版1刷。奥付にボールペンで日付の書き込み。 透明シートをカバーにして本体にセロテープで貼り付け、セロテープ部分変色。中は良い状態です。



    日本語の起源について定説はないが、その基層にはアイヌ語と少数の南方起源の語が、上層には多数のアルタイ・北方起源の語が積み重なっていると言われている。
    本書では、BomhardとKernsによる仮定(太古どこかで、ユーラシア大陸とアフリカ北部を合わせた巨大言語圏で唯一の祖語(我らが祖語 Proto-Nostratic)が話されていた)に基づき、和語(日本古語)の祖形として、奈良・平安時代に話され、文献に記録された言葉を仮定し、その起源を説明している。
