    こちらはBOUDEN GARDENさんのハンドメイド作品です。
     
    作家さんコメント
    ベラクルス産アメジストと純銀のアミュレットです。
     
    作品名は「NUT(ヌト)」。
     
    エジプト神話における、夜を司る天空の女神です。空を覆い眠りの夜を守り、癒しを与えます。
     
    ベラクルス産のアメジストはその美しさから「女神の宿るアメジスト」と呼ばれることもあるそうです。透明感と発色の美しさに惹かれて数年前のミネラルショーで購入しました。
     
    アメジストの特性は調和と癒し。癒しといえば睡眠、睡眠といえば夜、さらに女神が宿るアメジスト・・女神は夜を司り、高貴な紫の裳裾を翻し大きな翼で空を覆い夜がやってくる。翼には煌めく星と輝く月、その翼の下で人々は安心して休み、活力を取り戻し、やがて新しい一日が始まる・・と妄想に連想を重ねた結果、ムーンストーンやスーパーセブン、ラブラドライトなど、癒しや夜のイメージを持つ石を組み合わせ、癒しによって冷静さを保ち、持ち主が望む方向へ進んでいけるようにとの想いを込めて、アミュレットに仕上げました。
     
    純銀で作った女神の翼は、両面が表で、微妙に表情が異なります。
     
    銀は水、空気中の硫黄成分と反応して表面が黒ずんだり光沢を失ってしまうことがありますが、これを銀の「硫化」といいます。今回は意図的に硫化させて作品の流れる線を際立たせています。
     
    金具類はすべてsv925を使用しています。
     
    アメジストは赤と青の混色であるためか、不思議と色んな服に合わせやすいです。ワックスコードで編んだネックレス部分は長さ調節ができ、装いに合わせてお楽しみ頂けます。
     
    作品には、鉱物標本や魔法アイテムな感じをイメージした化粧箱をお付けしています。箱についている「I do not seek, I find(私は探さない、見出すのだ)」は、なりたい自分はすでに自分のなかにある。というような意味合いです。蓋の裏には作品名と石の特性のキャプションを貼っています。銀を磨くための小さい布もお付けしてます。
     
    のろぺこコメント
    純銀の翼の下で揺れるベラクルス産アメジストポイントの、淡く澄んだ紫色のみずみずしさに目を奪われます。
     
    ラブラドライトやムーンストーン、スーパーセブンを編み込んだネックレス部分も、まるで古代の装身具のような神聖な雰囲気。長めにつけても短めにつけても美しいネックレスです。
