    モーガナ・キングはモルガナ・キングとしても知られているジャズ・シンガーです。
    このLPは、スウィングジャズ時代に評判になった歌を集めたもので、
    名アレンジャーであるアーニー・ウィルキンスのオーケストラをバックに
    モーガナ・キングが小粋に歌っています。

    「A列車で行こう」「バ＾ードランドの子守歌」「言い出しかねて」
    「霧の日」「ハウ・ハイ・ザ・ムーン」「そして天使は歌う」…
    など、おなじみのスタンダードの名曲ばかりです。
    全１０曲のうち5曲はフルバンドによる伴奏で、
    アーニー・ロイヤル(tp)、フィル・ウッヅ(as)、などの一流のジャズメンが参加。
    残りの5曲は、4本のトロンボーンをメインにした伴奏で、ジミー・クリーヴランドなどが入っています。
    エディ・コスタのヴァイブが聞かれます。

    ＣＤ化されていますが、キャムデン原盤のＬＰレコードは珍しいのではないかと考えます。
