    東京・六本木の〈国立新美術館〉で開催中の『佐藤可士和展』は、佐藤のキャリアのなかで最大規模の個展だ。会場構成から佐藤自身が手がけている本展、約30年の間に佐藤と彼が率いる〈SAMURAI〉が手がけてきた仕事の数々が、テンポよく、いくつもの驚きを伴って展開していく。作品はもちろん、展示手法も、現代の日本を代表するクリエイティブディレクターの本領発揮！ 　展覧会ってこんなに楽しいんだと思わせてくれるはず。佐藤自身の案内でこの展示を巡った。
    自分の仕事を美術館に訪れるすべての人にとって見応えのある展示するにはどうすればいいのか、ずいぶん考えましたよ！」

    完成したばかりの会場でそう話す佐藤。美術館からの声がけを受けて準備を始めたのは3年ほど前。それでも仕上げの作業はオープンのぎりぎりまでかかったという。

    「仕事のなかでも数の多いグラフィックをどうやって展示するべきかは思案のしどころでした。特にロゴなどは、あまりに身近にあるものなので、普通に展示したのでは“日常”すぎてしまう。それでたどり着いたのが『THE LOGO』セクションの展示です」
