    The importance of Hans Scharoun (1893-1972) as one of the leading figures in the modern movement has only recently been acknowledged. His use of non-rectilinear geomerty in plan and creation of expressive flowing spaces define his place in architectural history. The Philharmonic Concert Hall and the State Library, both in Berlin, count amongst his most recognised works.

    現代運動の主要人物の一人としてのハンス・シャロン(1893-1972)の重要性は、ごく最近になって初めて認められている。表現力豊かな流れる空間の計画と創造における非直線的な地体の使用は、建築史における彼の地位を定義しています。ベルリンのフィルハーモニーコンサートホールと州立図書館は、彼の最も有名な作品の1つです。
