    1977年から1983年にかけて公開された「スター・ウォーズ」の“旧3部作”は、SF映画の歴史を変えたパイオニアにして、
    2005年に完結した“新3部作”の続編であるという複雑な出自を持つ作品だ。
    その“旧3部作”に、デジタル修復を加えた特別篇を収録したのがこのDVD-BOXである。
    辺境の惑星で生きる青年ルーク・スカイウォーカーが、運命の導きのままに戦いに巻き込まれ、
    フォースに目覚めていく様は、今見ても充分新鮮。
    “新3部作”で、ルークの父アナキンがダース・ベーダーとなる過程を知ってから鑑賞すれば、それまでただの
    “敵の親玉”だったベーダー卿の一挙手一投足に哀しい影を感じるようになるのも興味深いところ。
    価格を低めに抑えた代わりに、特典ディスクなどは一切ないシンプルな商品構成となっているが、
    例えば“新3部作”で「スター・ウォーズ」に初めて触れて、その源流を確認したいと思う人などには最適な
