    紹介写真でもご覧になれますが、五枚全ての写真に「パトリシア博士役」のジョーン・ウェルドンの直筆サインがあります。

    1953年制作・空想科学スリラー映画、『放射能X』(原題: Them!）ワーナー・ブラザーズ社製作のモンスター映画。1954年、公開。

    1950年代、冷戦下のハリウッドで多数製作された「放射能の影響による巨大生物」映画の一つ。

    本作は3D映画として企画されたが、当時の特撮技術では画面に奥行きを出すことができなかったため、実物大の巨大蟻のプロップを使ってライブ・アクションで撮影された。

    3Dの企画はクランクイン前に取り止められたが、アカデミー特殊効果賞にノミネートされた。
