    • ‘近年、データ科学が実験科学、理論科学、計算(シミュレーション)科学に続く第4の科学と言われるようになってきた。物理の分野においても、様々な文脈で機械学習の応用が進んでいる。多岐にわたる応用の中から、量子多体系の解析、という観点に絞って、その基礎的内容から最新の研究の進展までを紹介することが本書の日的となる。’
    • ‘本書では、そのような期待の下、最子多体問題に対して機械学習の技術を導入することによる。より高度な解析を日指す取り組みについて議論していく、ただし、一点頭に入れておいてほしいことは、(少なくとも現状は)機械学習は万能ではない、すなわち、機械学習を何も考えずに導入しただけではうまく機能しない場合もある、ということである。しかし、人の手によって適切な工夫・設定をしてやれば、量子多体問題解析のための有用なツールになり得るということもわかってきている。そのため本書ではそのようなプラクティカルな観点も含めながら話を進めていきたいと思う.’
