    タンカ - ジャンバラ 宝蔵神[65cm x 49cm]の説明


    宝蔵神 ジャンバラ
    財産をもたらす神として、チベット文化圏で振興されている宝蔵神 ジャンバラです。ネパール・チベット様式の毘沙門天 ヴァイシュラヴァナとよく似ているので、混同されることがよくあります。

    左手にはマングースをつかみ、口から財宝を吐き出させて、右手には豊かさの象徴である果実を持っているお姿で描かれます。

    ■タンカとは
    タンカとはチベット仏教の教えを目に見える形にすることでその教えを理解しやすくすることを助けるもの、そしてチベット僧の重要な行いの一つの「瞑想」の手助けをするものです。

    タンカの図柄には色々なものがありますが、代表的なものにはチベットの高僧であるミラレパを描いたものや、千手観音などの神様を描いたもの、そしてヤントラやマンダラと呼ばれる図形を描いたものがあります。

    私たち日本人にとってはマンダラなどの図形を書いたものが人気ですが、本場ネパールやチベットでは神様を描いたものが人気なようです。
