    人気のVelocraft BIRDY BD-1 ホイールがさらに軽く、より丈夫なボディになって刷新致しました。
    『Velocraft BIRDY BD-1 ホイール」はBIRDY(バディ) BD-1をスムーズに移動できるパーツ。通称輪コロとも言われているBD-1専用のパーツです。
    ■軽量アルミニウムだからよりさらに軽く、強く。
    アルミニウムの比重は2．7。鉄（7．8）や銅（8．9）と比べると約1/3。軽量である為、自動車、鉄道車両、航空機、船舶、コンテナなどの移動や輸送の分野で多くのアルミニウムが使われています。
    アルミニウムは比強度（単位重量当りの強度）が大きいため、輸送機器や建築物などの構造材料として多く使用され、最近では、リチウムを添加した低密度、高剛性の合金が開発され、航空機や大型構造物用の材料として注目されています。
    また、アルミニウムは船舶、海洋開発などでも使われているため錆びにくい。という特性も持っています。
    ■従来の『Velocraft BIRDY BD-1 ホイール』より最大30%以上の減量。
    初代の『Velocraft BIRDY BD-1 ホイール』は約204gでしたが今回の『Velocraft BIRDY BD-1 ホイール』はアルミニウムにより約157gで23％の減量に。
    『Velocraft キャリアホイール 5mm』 をホイールとして使えば約139gで30%以上の減量となります。
    ■アルマイト(Alu-mite)処理により耐久性が向上。
    アルミニウムの表面を電気、化学的方法などによって酸化させて酸化物の膜を作る工法で、アノダイジング(Anodizing)とも言います。 アルマイト(Alu-mite)加工をすることで本製品は表面の強度、耐摩耗性、耐蝕性が向上する他、見た目も美しい外観に仕上がってます。
