    昭和13年（1938）奉天生。6才のとき出家し、花園大学卒業後相国寺僧堂の大津櫪堂に参禅。昭和50年大徳寺塔頭黄梅院住職に就任した。

    【円相 えんそう】
    禅における書画のひとつで、図形の丸（円形）を一筆で描いたもの。「一円相（いちえんそう）」「円相図（えんそうず）」などとも呼ばれる。
    悟りや真理、仏性、宇宙全体などを円形で象徴的に表現したものとされるが、その解釈は見る人に任される。
    また、円窓と書いて「己の心をうつす窓」という意味で用いられることもある。
    また始まりも終わりもなく角に引っ掛かる事もない円の流れ続ける動きは、仏教が教える捕らわれのない心、執着から解放された心を表わしている。

    【無一物中無尽蔵 むいちもつちゅうむじんぞう】 この言葉は禅の悟りを表していると言われる禅語です。 大詩人と言われる蘇東坡が残した禅語で、意味としては、無の中に有るということを、虚の中に実を観るということを表しており、これだけではよく理解できませんが、この言葉に続きがあります。 無一物中無尽蔵。
