    この本は「虫草農園のいい加減な暮らし方」を紹介した本です。
    25年くらい前に家族全員で移住し、ここ白州で暮らし始めました。
    収入が少なくなったこともあり、なるべくならお金に頼らず、自分たちの暮らしを自分たちでつくる、という暮らし方をしていたら、それが楽しくてドップリはまりました。その楽しさや面白さを多くの人に知ってもらいたい、という思いで、この本を書きました。

    たとえば田植えをしたり、自作の石窯でパンを焼いたり、廃材で小屋をつくったり……ヒトが生きていくための生活自体をレクレーションのように楽しみながら暮らせたら素晴らしい！ と思っています。

    これだけ文明が発達したのだから、最新技術を取り入れて、「知足」を旨に、中古のソーラーパネルなどをうまく使ってエネルギーをも自給するような暮らし方をすれば、ヒトは週に3日も金稼ぎをすれば十分なんじゃないか？ こうした暮らし方が広がれば、化石燃料の奪い合いのための戦争も、起こりにくくなるのではないかとなどと実は秘かに本気で思っています。

    また今後は、クリエイティブな仕事を含めてさまざまな知的労働がＡＩに置き換わっていくことが予想されます。戦争の悲惨な記憶を劣化させなかったり、ある意味ヒトよりも優秀なところもあって、ヒトの暮らしを助けてくれるようにも思うのですが、そうした世の中になったとき、ではヒトは何に喜びを感じ、生きて行くのか？ ＡＩにできない唯一のことは「私たちの暮らしを私たちでつくるということ」のようにも思っています。

    地球の自然は美しく、生態系は素晴らしいバランス感覚をもっています。

    多様性のある様々な生き方を、それぞれに認め合いながら暮せば、この星は素晴らしい星になるとも確信しています。
    そこには、ただ空があるだけ。無限の宇宙の中で生きる喜びを大切に「暮らすこと」も楽しむための本、と思って書きました。
