    ＊絹谷幸二（きぬたに こうじ）1943－
    1943年 奈良県生まれ。東京藝術大学を経て1971年のイタリア留学によってアフレスコ（壁画技法）をさらに深める。帰国後、歴代最年少にて安井賞を受賞。その後メキシコ留学などを経て、1993年に東京芸術大学教授に就任し、後進を育てる。1997年には長野冬季オリンピック・ポスターの原画制作を任される。2001年に≪蒼穹夢譚≫ にて第57回日本芸術院賞受賞、芸術院会員となる。2008年には渋谷駅の壁面にパブリック・アートを設置される。2009年に絹谷幸二賞が毎日新聞主催で創設される。2010年に東京芸術大学名誉教授となる。2014年には文化功労者に選出される。2019年に紺綬褒章を受ける。歴史あるフレスコ画法を現代的感覚で独自の画風として確立した。（出典：絹谷幸二公式サイト他）
