    大谷光演（句佛）（オオタニ　コウエン・クブツ）
    明治８年（１８７５）～昭和１８年（１９４３）
    東本願寺(真宗大谷派)二十二世大谷光瑩の次男として生まれる
    十歳で得度、明治４１年東本願寺二十三世となり同派管長を兼務
    幼年から諸流の書道を学び、岐阜出身の書家杉山三郊に師事
    幸野楳嶺や竹内栖鳳に日本画を学び、
    正岡子規や河東碧梧桐、高浜虚子らの影響を受け、俳人としても活躍
    大正１４年、東本願寺の財政破綻の責任を取り、長男・光暢に法主の座を譲る

    軸の背面、表装・本紙全体に薄い斑点状のシミが広がっています。
