    アメリカ盤 ATCO Records SD-33-312  

    6枚のアルバムを残したニューヨーク・ロックンロール・アンサンブル～ニューヨーク・ロック・アンサンブル～ニューヨーク・ロックと、徐々にバンド名が短くなっていったバンドの３枚目ですが、このアルバムだけが、独特です。それは、ギリシアの作曲家マノス・ハジダキスとのコラボ、全曲ハジダキスによる作曲によるものだからです。甘く美しいメロディーが多く、どこか地中海風のエキゾチズムとストレンジさ、小編成のオーケストラとの室内楽的な共演、たぶん地中海あたりの民族楽器の使用（部分的にサー・イアー・バンドの「マクベス」を聴いているような心地にもなります）など、このアルバムだけの特徴です。ハジダキスはこの前後何年間か、仕事の拠点をアメリカに移して活動していたようです。このアルバムは1970年のリリース。
    考えようによっては、凄いアルバムです。
    ジャケは、経年の中古感はモチロンわずかにありますが、なかなか良好です。左上部にリングのついた小さなパンチ穴があります。
    盤は、光に透かすと小さなキズや薄いスレキズが確認できます。サイド１の3曲目で小パチ3回、5曲目で極小さなボッ、というノイズが16回確認できました。また無音部静音部でチリツキもあります。海外経由の中古盤としてはまずまず良好な方という感じで、私は、特にストレスを感じるというわけでもなく、気持ちよく聴くことができました。試聴済みです。
