    【松方 正義（まつかた まさよし）】
    1835年3月23日〈天保6年2月25日〉- 1924年〈大正13年〉7月2日。
    幕末から明治時代にかけての日本の政治家、財政家[2]。
    位階勲等爵位は贈従一位大勲位公爵。幼名は金次郎。通称は助左衛門。号は海東。
    明治期の日本において内閣総理大臣を2度（第4・6代）務めるとともに
    大蔵卿、大蔵大臣（初・3・5・8代）を長期間務めて日本銀行を設立したり、
    金本位制を確立するなど、財政通として財政面で業績を残した。
    また、晩年は元老、内大臣として政局に関与し影響力を行使した。
    独逸学協会名誉会員。日本赤十字社社長。
