    創業者・水野利八の考案により、1910年（明治43年）に社名と店名を「美津濃商店」に変更。
    将来を考え、店が発展したときに、水野家の子孫以外にも立派な人材が現れることも考えて、命名したと言われています。

    「美津濃」の由来は、水野利八の故郷が美濃国（岐阜県）・大垣であり、生まれた場所が船町であったことから、船にゆかりの「港」を指す「津」を、「美」と「濃」の間に入れて「美津濃」となりました。


    今回出品する商品はそんな時代の貴重な包装紙です。
