    ご覧頂きまして誠に有難うございます。

     二紀会理事、評議員を務めたフランスのパリを中心に各地の風景をキャンバスに留めた坂本益夫画伯の油彩画『オンフルール』 Ｆ６号（画廊取扱品：番号KC70） です。ユトリロや佐伯祐三を始めパリやフランスの風景を描いた画家は大勢いましたが、坂本画伯もそれらに勝るとも劣らず優れた作品を残しています。大抵の画家はユトリロなど有名画家の真似事に終わっていますが、坂本画伯の確かなデッサン力と茶褐色を多用した独特の色調はオリジナリティ豊かで彼の作風を決定つける物になっています。作品はキャンバスに油彩、作品の状態はおおむね良好。キャンバス表面 左下サイン、裏面に作者直筆サイン（題名、名前）の記載があります。

    略歴：坂本益夫

    1907年兵庫県神戸市に生まれる。
    川端画学校に学び、上野山清貢、東郷青児に師事する。
    1929年二科会展に出品。
    1947年二紀会展に招待出品をし同人となる。
    1957年渡仏。多くの風景画を描く。
    1960年二紀会委員。後に理事、評議員を務める。
    1993年没 享年86歳。
