    激レアなクロムハーツのファイヤーマンブーツです。

    サイズ１０D （２８cm）

    現行の日本企画のファイヤーマンの前のUS企画のファイヤーマンです。

    大きな違いはハイトが高くシューホールの数が1列で2つ多いです。
    総数では16個多くなります。

    また非常にマニアックですがアウトソールステッチがダブルステッチです。
    現行はシングルステッチに変更されています。

    ウエスコのヴァンプはステッチダウンですのでリペアに出してもシングルステッチからダブルステッチには変更できません。

    これはかなり重要で2ピースソールに変更する場合シングルステッチだと張り出しが狭く非常に格好悪くなります。

    ダブルステッチは格好良いのですが縫製を失敗するリスクがあるので変更になったのだと思います。
    ステッチダウンの場合、縫い直しが出来ないのでウエスコの通常のモデルではダブルステッチの失敗商品は全てB級品のファクトリーセカンドで販売されます。

    クロムハーツの場合はコストが掛かりすぎるのでヴァンプを付け替えての作り直しかと思います。
    非常に面倒なのに一定の割合で失敗するので廃止されたと思います。

    またウエスコの通常モデルとの違いはクロムハーツのシルバーパーツが付いているだけでは無く、使用しているレザー がクロムハーツ側の物でイタリアンカウハイドです。

    クロムハーツのBossでは通常のウエスコ側のアメリカンカウハイドです。
    2000年以前は全てウエスコ側でそれ以降はモデルによって混在しています。

    良く比較されているチペワとコラボのファイヤーマンですが、ブーツ自体のクオリティーが全く異なります。
    90年代のチペワのファイヤーマンブーツは80ドル程度だったので作りはチープです。
    80年代に買収されジャスティンブーツ傘下に入り一気に質が低下しています。

    具体的には一応本革を使用しているものの革質が下がり非常に薄い革に変更されています。
    グッドイヤーウェルトテッド製法なので通常はレッドウイングのようにコルクを詰めますが、リサイクルスポンジを使用しています。
    またヒールカウンター内側の補強が革では無くプラスチックです。
    中敷きも厚みを出すために厚紙を薄い革で覆った物です。

    ファイヤーマンブーツは40年代からチペワが軍に納入していた歴史があり形もあまり変わらず格好良いのですが、クロムハーツとの品質のバランスが取れないためウエスコに変更されたかと思います。
