    『本書は、沖縄県知事当時の大田昌秀さんと池澤夏樹さんの、4回にわたる対談をまとめたものになります。沖縄が好きになって移住した作家の池澤さんと現職沖縄県知事の大田さんの対談ですので、基地問題、経済振興など生々しく詳しく語られます。
    大きな流れとしては、基地を返還させて有効面積を増やして、観光とITを進めて行くという形を目指していると語っていますが、最大の障壁は日本政府の無理解と、辺野古の新基地問題と、返還される基地の土地汚染問題になるようです。本書は、沖縄県の抱える問題の入門書としても優れていると思います。』
