    作家略歴

    江戸後期の文人画家。江戸下谷根岸生。名は正安。
    はじめ号は文朝・師陵、後に文晁とし字も兼ねた。
    通称は文五郎または直右衛門。
    別号には写山楼・画学斎・ 無二・一恕。
    幼い頃から文才に優れ、和歌や漢詩にも通じた。
    大和絵諸派の画風を学び、中国絵画の影響を受けながら諸画法を折衷した新画風を確立。
    江戸文人画壇の重鎮となる。
    画塾写山楼からは渡辺崋山・立原杏所など多くの門人が出た。
    天保11年（1840）歿、78歳。
