厚手の頑丈なつくりに素朴さを漂わせる身近な印判。

食卓に使ってみても、アレンジを加えて飾ってみても、

懐かしいのに、どこか新鮮な空気を醸し出してくれます。

気楽なのにかけがえがない、そんな魅力が詰まった印判の器をいかがでしょうか！

印判手とは、あらかじめ文様を彫った印を器体に押し付けることによって文様をつけていく技法です。
元禄期（1688～1704）に現れた技法で、18世紀中には一時なくなりました。（明治期になると復活します）
明治の印判が日本に生まれたのは、美濃の窯であった。
美濃、瀬戸は、日本の中央窯の性格を持ち、日本のあらゆる文化とともに、この窯の使命は流れを一にしていた。
その意味で、王朝時代からこの窯は、日本の官窯的位置にある窯であったが、明治開花期にも、その美濃窯が、
明治の夜明けであり、印判染付けがここで生まれたことは、大きな意義があったと思います。
