    木象嵌製作活動一筋に60年以上。小田原を原点とする木象嵌を、富山の木象嵌に確立した初代木象嵌士、故中島杢堂よりその技術を継承する。さらにそこから今までにない技術を取り入れ、新しい木象嵌の開発と共に、木象嵌の後継者育成等にも尽力する。 その活動が認められ、富山木象嵌は富山県より富山県指定伝統工芸と認められ、富山県より「伝統工芸の匠」と認定を受け、富山木象嵌の発展・後継者育成活動を行っている。
