    「三眠蚕」とは通常の繭（四眠蚕）は、4回の休眠と脱皮を経て繭を作ります。 これに対し、「三眠蚕」は3回の休眠と脱皮で繭を作る特性を持った古代品種を復元した貴重な繭です。 通常の織物は経糸1800本?2400本くらいが多いですが、14デニールの三眠蚕を3600本使用して織り上げます。
