    2000年代に生まれたプロダクトらしく近未来的で清潔感のある造形をしています。

    アーヴィンが手掛けたプロダクトは近年ご紹介したかったもののひとつです。
    特に植木鉢のシリーズは使い勝手のよいサイズ感ですのでオススメいたします。

    【ジェームズ・アーヴィンについて】ロンドン生まれ、1984年にロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アートを卒業した彼は、
    オリヴェッティのデザインコンサルタントを務め、東京の東芝デザインセンターに出向、
    1988年にはミラノに自らのデザインスタジオを開設。1993年以降は、ソットサス・アソシエイツのインダストリアルデザイン主任パートナーも務めました。

    ジェームズ・アーヴィンのデザインは、幾何学的形式主義をスタイルの特徴としています。
    2004年に、ロンドンのロイヤル・ソサエティ・オブ・アーツより、RDI（ヨイヤル・デザイナー・フォー・インダストリー）として選ばれました。

    2013年にアーヴィンはあまりにも尚早にその生涯を閉じますが、
    30余年に亘って展開されてきた彼のスタジオは、正確さ、アイロニー、
    寛容という3つのキーワードを軸として進化を続けます。
