    2001年にハビタ社(Habita)によって復刻されたエレファントスツール。

    日本が世界に誇るインダストリアルデザイナー柳宗理（やなぎそうり）が
    1954年に発表した「Elephant Stool（エレファントスツール）」。
    世界初の完全一体成型のプラスチックスツールとして開発されたもので、
    後世のデザイン界に大きな影響を与えたプロダクトです。
    象の脚のようなユニークな形状から別名「象脚スツール」とも呼ばれています。

    1956年にコトブキ社よりFRP素材で発売され、1970年には大阪万博のパビリオンに使用されました。
    一度は廃盤となったものの、2001年にハビタ社より復刻。
    その後、2004年にVitra（ヴィトラ）社からポリプロピレン素材で復刻。

    飽きのこない愛らしいデザインで、今でも世界中のファンを魅了し続けています。

    しっかりとした耐久性を持ちながらも、女性でも片手で持ち運べるほどに軽い。
    さらに、使わない時は積み重ねて収納することができるので、省スペースでまとめることができます。

    ハビタ社から発売されたエレファントスツールは短期間しか製造されず、
    そのため希少なアイテムとして知られています。コレクタブルとしても高く評価されています。
