    ご閲覧いただきまして、ありがとうございます。送料込みの設定とさせていただきます。  


    状態…1965年12月初版。函入り。パラフィン紙は経年劣化でだいぶ傷んでいます。しかし本体はキレイで、状態は良い方です。ズッシリ重い子どもの本です。 

     紹介…子ども向けの歴史の本なんて教科書に絵が付いただけ。 
       そんな偏見を持っていると腰を抜かします。 
       まぁ福沢諭吉や豊田佐吉の項は「努力しました。エライエライ」とありきたりなのですが、その他がスゴイ。 
       例えば… 
      「圭太くんは文明開化のおかげで学校へ行けました。毎日大好きなお勉強ができるようになりました。でもお父さんは学校に毎月たくさんお金を取られて、とても困っていました。お役人はいばるだけで何もしてくれません。そこでみんなで相談して一揆をおこして、学校をうちこわしました。でもみんなの暮らしは幕府のころよりもどんどんひどくなっていきました」 
       …といった身もふたもない残念話のオンパレードなのです。
       外国から莫大な借金をして鉄道を作りました、徴兵令を施行して若者の自由を奪いました、鹿鳴館で猿真似の舞踏会を開いて外国から馬鹿にされました、富岡製糸場や高島炭鉱では奴隷のように働かさせられました、庶民を弾圧して薩長の一部の人だけが贅沢三昧をしました…。
       西郷も板垣も期待ハズレの残念な人として描かれ、秩父騒動の田代栄助の方がはるかにヒーロー然として登場します。
       圧巻なのは景山英子が取り上げられていることです。 
       ご存知ですか、景山英子。爆弾を抱いたジャンヌ・ダルクですよ。テロリストですよ（この言葉は最近安っぽく、都合良く使う人が多いのであまり言いたくはありませんが、他にいい表現が浮かびません）。 
       どうせなら来島常喜（大隈重信いてこました人）で一章設けてほしかったなぁ。 
       もうお分かりの通り、この本を書いた人の史観は偏っています。 
       おはなし日本歴史…って、お父さんお母さんはどうやって子どもにお話したのでしょうか。
       児童書といっても、読む人に突きつけられた歴史の剣はメチャクチャ鋭いです。 
       それなら明治維新礼賛の司馬史観みたいのが良いのかといえば、それもどうでしょうか。
      明治維新は大部分の人にとって期待ハズレだったことは間違いないので、まぁ足して二で割ったぐらいが丁度いいのかもしれません。 
       少なくとも「明治維新150年」と喜んでいる人は、会津戦争の本とか、本書のようなのを読んで頭を冷やした方がいいわなぁ。
