    寺畑助之丞   石膏彫刻    母子像   昭和18年作    桐箱付    構造社    サインあり     中古品


    桐箱のフタに墨書きで「愛」？、裏側に助之丞、印があります。

    石膏彫刻と思われます。
    後ろ側に「昭和廿八年」「助之丞 作」の文字が刻まれています。
    表面に汚れ、女性のドレープの先端部分に小さな欠けがあります。（写真参照）
    写真では白っぽく写っていますが、クリーム色の地色で、全体に汚れがありますのでご留意ください。

    桐箱の背面の板に縦の亀裂があります。
    箱側面に寺畑に関する紙が貼られています。

    ＜寺畑助之丞＞

    明治25年11月富山県高岡市に生れ、大正7年東京美術学校彫刻科本科を卒業した。
    大正9年朝鮮総督府技師となり、総督府新庁舎一般建築彫刻を担任した。
    朝鮮美術展覧会の第2・3.4回評議員及び審査員を、同第5回参与及審査員となり、
    昭和11年文展第3部無鑑査となった。
    東京高等工芸学校・東京工業専門学校教授をつとめ、構造社から昭和10年新構造社彫刻部に移り、
    彫刻・工芸部会員代表となった。
    そのほか、興亜造型文化連盟常務理事(会長-藤山愛一郎)、日本彫塑家倶楽部理事、
    愛知県常滑日本陶芸研究所々長等をつとめる。代表作-「母と子」
    1970(昭和45)年6月、没（享年77）。
