    2cmメッシュでざっくりこしてます。素材です。 

    伊豫粉よりも手触りサラサラ
    上質な白の砥石を挽いた時に集めた粉です。

    こして小瓶に入れると法外な価格になるアレです。
    上澄みを晒しにとって、張った状態で革砥のようにつかうとバリ取りになるので便利。
    濡らした消しゴムにとって、天然風のくもる仕上がりに採用されたり。 
    山城國では生産高が多いので、三木、堺、越前などの鍛治職や研ぎ職人に多く提供します。
    焼き入れなどの熱処理加工になくてはならない素材なのです。
    くわしいかたほどお得に使えます。 

    乳鉢や薬研で微細末にしても構いません

    木研作るときは、広葉樹などの散孔材つかうと孔に粉が捉えられやすいので効率的。
    更にこの発想の延長上に、木口使いの木研もあります。
    つまり、導管と師管自体を粉固定に使うという方法です。針葉樹で効率的になるようです。
    桐で出来た下駄の接地部分の発想で、軟質材に粉をまいて上から鎚で叩きしめる方もいらっしゃいます。

    主に曲線の刃物を仕上げたいときに、貴重な天然砥石を潰したくないという場合に木研木砥を作ります。
    バフをお使いの方でしたら、両刃になる事の惨状を経験済かと思います。硬質な材でRを作って、片刃の裏押しに木砥を作っておけばバフ掛けで両刃になって台無しになる事が防げるわけです。

    材の特性や、材の孔分布傾向を理解・研究していくと、弾性重視で当てやすさ先行型か？
    石のように硬い材で当てにくいものの、裏押し等に求められる平面度・直線度を追求型か？
    細かく低コストで多段階遷移的に仕立てることができると気付くかと思います。

    砥ぎおよび木工技巧共に駆使する作業なので思いのほか楽しめるかと思います。
    一番簡易で効率的な水で溶いて上澄みをさらしに吸わせてバリ取りに使うところから挑戦してみてください。ちゃんと研げますので晒の色がだんだん鉄粉で黒くなってきます。


    現在ドライな鋸で挽けて粉生産できる人は五指以内です。
