    マーラーと数珠
    マーラー自体は、インドでブッダが仏の道を説く前から、ヒンドゥー教などで使用されているものです。
    数珠はファッションアイテムとして身につけることはしません。
    しかし、マーラーはファッションアイテムとして、ネックレスのようにかけたり、ブレスレットとして、今でもインドなどの周辺国では扱われています。

    マーラーも数珠も、マントラ（仏教だとお経）を唱えた数を記憶するための神具です。

    一つのお経を唱えるごとに、持っている玉をひとつずらすのです。

    仏教的に使用すれば、１０８の煩悩を消していくための作業。よりヒンドゥー教に近い考え方で使用すれば、10神々を讃えるマントラを唱えることで祈願し、その波動を使って瞑想することで、至高のエネルギーから真理に到達するとされています。
