    瀬戸　加藤英一の作品でタイトルに鵜之斑　片耳壷と箱書があります。
    鵜之斑
    「うのふ」と呼びます。
    鵜之斑とは 失透（しっとう）系の釉薬で、艶のある白濁した色と、時に厚くかかってなだれとなった部分が青味を帯びたり、貫入が入ったりするのが特徴です。
    藁灰や籾殻灰などの珪酸分の多い灰を用いているため、白濁失透の釉薬の上がりとなるようです。釉薬の系統としては朝鮮唐津、斑唐津や朝鮮の会寧窯の白い釉薬と近い物と思います。
    瀬戸では寛永頃から始まったとされ、伝統的にこの系統の釉薬を「うのふぐすり」と呼んでいたようです。

    個人的には耳部分が葉っぱのように見えるので白い夏みかんのようだと思ってます。（共布、しおり有り）

    昭和62年4月18日指定
    　掻落し技法は、中国の宋代に生まれた装飾技法の一つで、磁州窯で盛んに焼成された伝統技法である。保持者は長年に亘る研究と製作技術の研鑽により、赤土の素地に白色の化粧土を塗り、それを丹念に掻き落して文様を出す技法を完成させた。
    瀬戸の製陶業の家に生まれ、自然に陶芸の道を志す。後に藤井達吉に師事し、その人格にふれて陶芸のみならず人生面でも大きな影響を受けた。
    謙虚で端正な趣のある作品を作り出している。40数年に亘る掻落し技法の製作活動は、高度なロクロ技術とあいまって、創意工夫が加えられた優れた技法として高く評価されてきた。
    帝展・日展１０回入選。　昭和62年（1987）その作品は瀬戸市無形文化財に指定される。
