    こちらはBOUDEN GARDENさんのハンドメイド作品です。
     
    作家さんコメント
    ネパール産カイヤナイトと純銀のピアスです。
     
    作品名は「多岐津(たきつ)」。
     
    航海安全を司る宗像三女神の多岐津姫(タキツヒメ)から頂きました。
     
    年に1度、宗像ではたくさんの船が三女神の神輿をのせて海上を巡行する「みあれ祭」が行われます。その様は美しくも勇壮で、そして連綿と受け継がれてきた優れた航海技術はカイヤナイトの特性である「冒険心を育む・明晰な思考力と判断力を高める」と重なります。
     
    ミネラルショーでネパール産のカイヤナイトを出展されるお店があり、そのなんとも言えない深いブルーに惹かれて少しずつ集めていたのですが、三組そろった時点で、三女神にあやかってピアスにして送り出すことにしました。
     
    装飾部分は波のイメージ。純銀で制作しました。それぞれ石の形や大きさにあわせてつくっており、寄せる波の形が定まらないようにペアであっても波の表現が違います。
     
    銀は水、空気中の硫黄成分と反応して表面が黒ずんだり光沢を失ってしまうことがありますが、これを銀の「硫化」といいます。今回は意図的に硫化させて作品の流れる線を際立たせています。
     
    金具類はすべてsv925を使用しています。
     
    作品には、鉱物標本や魔法アイテムな感じをイメージした化粧箱をお付けしています。箱についている「I do not seek, I find(私は探さない、見出すのだ)」は、なりたい自分はすでに自分のなかにある。というような意味合いです。蓋の裏には作品名と石の特性のキャプションを貼っています。銀を磨くための小さい布もお付けしてます。
     
    ※カイヤナイトは一定方向の結晶構造を持つため、結晶の方向に対し横向きの衝撃には非常に強く、縦向きの衝撃には割れやすいという性質を持ちますので、お取り扱い時はご留意ください。

    すらりとしたしずくの中の透明感ある暗青色。純銀に映えるその煌めきは、美しいだけでなくなにか芯の強さも感じさせます。
     
    凛とした魅力を放つ、神秘的な美しいピアスです。
