    『 加賀前田家名宝と九谷名陶展 』

    ・開催のことば

    　加賀百万石前田家は本藩、支藩ともに、美術工芸をもってあらわれていた。これは歴代藩主が名工を招きよせるなど、特にその発展につとめてきたのが大きな力になっているが、九谷焼もまたそうである。
    　前田家はまた藩祖利家以来、武具、茶器、絵画、工芸などの名品を数多く蔵するとともに、学問研究のため、数万点におよぶ和漢の書籍、文書を収集したことで有名であるが、その主要なものは現在前田育徳会に保存されている。
    　今回開催する「加賀前田家名宝と九谷名陶展」は、一には貴重な前田家コレクションの精粋を展観し、一には石川県美術館の所蔵品を中心に現在注目をあつめている古九谷の名品と九谷焼の伝流を紹介するもので
    ある。
