    吉田政次（よしだ まさじ）1917－1971
    1917年和歌山県生まれ。1941年東京美術学校西洋画科卒業、兵役を経て、同校研究科に学ぶ。1949年第17回日本版画協会展に出品、以後同会及びモダンアート協会などで活躍。
    1955年スイス・ルガーノ国際版画ビエンナーレ展に出品、1956年スイス・チュリッヒ国際版画展に出品するなど国際展でも活躍。リリシズムを湛えた抽象木版は国際的にも高く評価され、1957年第1回東京国際版画ビエンナーレ展（東京国立近代美術館）で新人賞を受賞。リュブリアナ国際版画ビエンナーレ展（ユーゴスラビア）サンパウロ・ビエンナーレ展（ブラジル）等にも出品。1969年第8回ホアン・ミロ賞国際素描展（スペイン）で大賞受賞。1971年、歿。（出典：ときの忘れもの）
