    古い絵葉書　日露戦争の翌々年　明治40年（1907年）10月24日　皇太子時代の大正天皇と東郷平八郎元帥　御召艦香取　記念印付き

    □商品説明□
    日露戦争終結の翌々年、明治40年（1907年）10月24日に、当時の皇太子殿下だった大正天皇が東郷元帥とともに戦艦香取で佐世保に入りました。
    この絵葉書は、それを記念して発行されたものです。
    絵葉書右側には東宮殿下（後の大正天皇）、左側には東郷元帥、中央には御召艦香取の写真があります。
    香取の周囲にはエンボス加工で「東宮殿下」「行啓記念」の文字があります。
    左下には菊切手1銭5厘が貼られ、記念印が捺されています。
    記念印には「皇太子殿下行啓記念　佐世保」「40-10-24」「VISIT OF H.I.H. THE CROWN PRINCE.」（皇太子殿下御訪問）の文字があります。

    この年はハーグ密使事件があり、韓国皇帝高宗が譲位、純宗が即位しました。
    その後、日韓親善のため韓国皇太子「李垠」が日本に留学。日本の皇太子（大正天皇）が大韓帝国を訪問するように伊藤博文が動いて実現しました。

    皇太子（大正天皇）は御召艦香取で韓国へ向かい、10月16日に仁川に上陸、10月17日から19日まで漢城に滞在し10月20日に漢城を出発。
    佐世保に到着したのはその後になります。

    伊藤博文暗殺はこの2年後です。

    歴史を切り取った絵葉書であると言っていいと思います。
