    北村隆
    九谷焼陶芸家。代表作は、「北前船飾皿」。
    国内のみならず、海外でも活躍し、評価される九谷焼陶芸作家。
    1946年、 石川県出身。
    1973年、第6回日展初入選(以後十九回入選) 第5回日本現代工芸展初入選(以後連続入選)
    1978年、 日本現代工芸美術展会員出品 ヨーロッパ・ファエンツァ国際陶芸展特別出演 1984年、 第8回現代美術展石川県美術館記念展最高賞受賞以後毎年委嘱出品する。
    1986年、日展会友。
    1988年、シンガポール芸術祭参加国立博物館特別出品。
    歌手マイケルジャクソン日本講演記念での似顔絵陶額を製作
    1990年、ニューヨーク・東京姉妹都市交流三十周年記念展に石州流家元と共に作品展する。
    1992年、フランスニース市アポロポリス美術館国際展出品銅メダル受賞(フランスニース市アポロポリス美術館 北前船大皿収蔵) フランスのルーブル美術館で珠洲の竹筆作家と共に北前船飾皿”の作品展示する
    1995年、 第9回日展(天空遙かに)が特選受賞
    1996年、 第23回日展(銀河)無監査出品する。高円宮殿下妃殿下に献上。
    1998年、 現代美術展 審査員就任。オーストラリアジャパンフェスティバルに、日本代表で九谷焼を出品する。州立美術館に北前船大皿、金彩 茶道具を収蔵する。オーストラリアシドニー市庁舎に金彩鶴角大皿収蔵する。イギリス大英図書館館長室に金彩鶴角大皿収納する
    2009年、20年以上に渡り「北前船の九谷焼絵皿」を制作し続けたオンリーワンの創作活動が評価され、東久邇宮文化褒章を受章。
    2011年、北前船日本海文化交流事業復元「みちのく丸」金沢港寄港の折、北前船陶額を制作。
    2012年、第3回 国際公募美術家連展 外務大臣賞受賞。・北前船九谷焼飾り屏風が石川県ブランドとして認定される。
    2013年、国宝薬師寺展 金沢開催記念 北陸の現代名工奉納作品 北前船皿出品
    2015年、曳山天井絵の「四神の図」を天皇皇后両陛下天覧される。
    2018年、北前船の日本遺産認定を祝し「北前船飾り皿」を小松市に寄贈。
    2019年、アートワールドインターナショナル、2019年度世界文化功労芸術家大賞受賞
    日展会友 日本現代工芸美術作家協会会員 石川県陶芸家協会会員 伝統工芸士認定
